I teach mathematics both for math students as well as applied science students such as Physics, Engineering, Computer sciences, Biology, Economics and more! You decide about the balance between formal proof and application. The goal is to develop formal, visual or physical intuition with the help of graphics and examples. If you want, we can use your material, old exams, exercise sheets or scripts of your lecture. If you would like additional studying material, I am happy to provide you with what fits your situation!

I work online with a digital pencil and whiteboard with which I will create notes around your imported material. After each lesson you will get the whiteboard as a PDF file for you to have. Below you find some screenshots of such Whiteboards!

Contact me for a free consultation and we will figure out what is best in your situation! 😊

About me
Gamma Phi Tutoring by Gregor Fauth

Hi, my name is Gregor Fauth! 😊
I started studying theoretical physics and maths in 2012, with a lot of curiosity about nature, and soon found interest also in teaching and pedagogy. Since 2014 I've been working as a university tutor while studying for my bachelor's and master's degrees in Dortmund and Heidelberg. In 2019 I became a PhD student and tutoring became part of my profession.

I've always had the most fun with science when talking to interested people and exchanging knowledge, so in 2022 I decided to publish my results and quit my PhD to become a full-time tutor. It is my dream that ideas of modern physics and science become available to anyone that's curious, and not just to those who survive years of university lectures.

In my 11 years of tutoring, I've always enjoyed in particular to find explanations and solutions to my students' questions that are adapted to their specific interests, their context and their base knowledge. To find explanations that fill the gaps that are sometimes so hard to fill with only lectures and books.

My journey in academia led me deeper and deeper into fundamental physics and my research and publication about the dynamics of strong electric and magnetic fields (e.g. in high-energy lasers or certain types of stars) has helped me a lot to understand and navigate the wide landscape of theoretical physics in the language of quantum field theory. (In such systems a combination of many different concepts become relevant: Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics, Relativity. πŸ€“)

I hope I will be able to share my excitement for science with you! 😊
